Eaglet. Free flight cabin model. Wingspan 44 in, for Brat .19 engine.

Note the 72 inch Ben Shereshaw Eaglet (oz1611) was kitted by Scientific circa 1937. This here is a later version reduced in scale to 44 in span.

Builds into a very attractive model, and ideal for a Brat .19 sparky... Herewith some further details as promised:

The late Tony Penhall was a skilled draughtsman, and a number of his tracings from original plans surfaced some years after his death, and are now in my possession.

The Eaglet was a great favourite of Tony's. He lost his original in a flyaway in 2003, but he built a second model, the photo [main pic] shows the construction underway. The wings featured the distinctive 'wings' decoration, and to be picky, one of the photos in your listing oz1611 shows that very model (if you blow it up you can see that), not the larger 72" span model. Would be good to move it to accompany my submission [fixed now, see pic 003 on this page].

This Ben Shereshaw design was kitted by the Scientific Model Company in c1938. Their description was "The parallel chord wing, mid-fin tailplane and oval-section stringered fuselage combine strength and good looks. For engines such as the Brat, Trojan, or Elf spark ignition". Tony added that for free-flight a Mills 75 diesel is ideal, and R/C is possible with lightweight equipment.

I am also enclosing a copy of a magazine article which details Tony's experience with the model. (Sorry, no idea which magazine !)
