Quote: "ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: The new Meteor, America's first completely prefabricated control line model kit, has been designed to give you the ultimate in speed, maneuverability, and ease of construction. When assembled and balanced as described below, its performance will amaze and delight you.

The model can be flown in either direction; however, should you wish to fly to the left, set your engine with 1 degree of right thrust.

The fuselage is completely hollowed and shaped from two balsa blocks, and requires only light sanding. First, attach the 2 halves of the Speed Snap to the 2 plywood bulkheads with 4/40 screws. Next, cement the bulkheads to the nose of the upper and lower fuselage halves.

When the cement has dried, sand the nose of the fuselage to the contour of the plywood bulkheads.

The engine should now be located and the engine mounts drilled to accommodate the mounting screws. Solder the heads of the mounting screws through thin tin plates before placing the screws through the holes in the engine mounts. The engine mounts can now be cemented into place in the fuselage.

Next, cut out the 3/16 slot in the upper fuselage section to take the vertical fin and stabilizer. This can be easily done by following the slot which is already partially cut. The upper fuselage section should now be cut in two as shown and the 3/16 dowel pin cemented into place as illustrated.

You are now ready to cement the rear upper fuselage section to the lower fuselage section. By inserting the 3/1(;" dowel pin that is cemented into the upper forward fuselage section, into the hole in the upper fuselage section and snapping the spring ring into the groove of the Speed Snap attached to the nose bulkheads, the two halves of the fuselage are firmly held together.

The vertical stabilizer, vertical fin and vertical fin tip are cemented together and sanded before cementing into the slot in the upper fuselage section. The elevator hinges are now attached and cemented to the horizontal stabilizer and elevator spars, which are in turn cemented to the stabilizer and elevators..."
