Relic (oz16592)
About this Plan
Relic. Radio control sport model. Wingspan 45 in, for .049 to .15 engine.
Discontinued kit from SIG.
Vector format plan.
Note the SIG Relic dates back circa 1968. This here is a modern redrawn plan. See text below for more on this.
Note this plan used the SIG (straight) molded foam wing. For a plan showing how to construct a replacement wing in balsa see: Sig Foam Wing Straight (oz16514) thanks to MarkWinstanley.

Quote: " Mary/Steve; In the ongoing quest to revive the SIG Foam Wing Fun Flyers, I have undertaken to try and trace the plan for the RELIC. My starting point was a very grainy jpg obtained from here: https://wanderings-ds.jimdofree.com/sig-rc-kits-21-40
I scaled the jpg by the wing chord and checked against the wheel diameter - its as close as possible. If anyone has a better plan I can always update mine. Feel free to share this on Outerzone.
I have attached a pdf of my plan and I can also provide a short kit for the RELIC.
I will start on the AERO SPORTSTER, STITS FLUTTERBUG and STINSON L-5 soon."

Greetings,Anyone out there happen to have an "outline" of the missing fuselage formers (i.e. F2, F3, F6, etc.)?
Cheers,
David

Here is a source for a middling scan of the original Sig plan (from an old RC Universe thread), see post #8
https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/golden-age-vintage-antique-rc-196/2917393-sig-relic-beaver.html#&gid=1&pid=1
All the straight wing planes are posted there, I sent you scans of the 2 actual full size plans I have, which you have already posted. The poor scans are from the old AMA kit plan book. See post #23.

Also, who do I contact regarding the "short kit" for the Relic.
Cheers,
David

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
