About this Plan

Veco Brave. Control line stunt trainer model. Wingspan 36 in, wing area 288 sq in.

Note the Veco Brave design dates back to the 1950s. This here is a modern redrawn plan.

Quote: "Veco Brave. Control line stunt model. Many parts on these plans have been redrawn in CAD and updated to more accurately reflect scale. Other alterations have been made/inporoved and will be noted as well. Good luck and above all else, have fun!"

Direct submission to Outerzone.

Quote: "I noticed you do not have the Veco Brave plans on your site. I redrew most of the parts on the plans to be more accurate, and modernized a bit ...a copy to put in the repository."

Note the main model pic here is grabbed from the vintageplanekits.com site at: https://vintageplanekits.com/new-veco-brave-short-kit.html

Quote: "Resurrection of the Veco BRAVE Control Line sport combat model for .19 to .35 power in a partial kit form. This was the first plane my dad and I build together back in the 70's. It took me years to not only remember the plane but to find a good set of plans. I found a good set, now I recreated a great set.

I purchased a set of plans and redrew each part in CAD and recreated a partial short kit a well as updated and cleaned up the PDF plans. Although it is an easy enough control line plane to build this kit is not recommended for the beginner. You should have a solid scratch build skill level and some model airplane fabrication experience.

This kit includes only the unique parts shown as cut in pictures and as listed below. Not included are all the hardware, common sheet balsa and Leading Edge/Trailing Edge pieces. The kit has only balsa wood and plywood laser cut parts and a copy of the original build instruction sheet...."

This was my very first plans built plane. I did mine almost the same as the picture supplied and it looked and flew wonderfully......until I crashed it learning to fly inverted! Wonderful airplane.

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
