Quote: "Good morning dear friends! First, I would like to apologize for any spelling errors, as my English is terrible.
I am sharing with you one of my creations, a low-wing model airplane for 25 to 40 inch glow or electric power.
Urano was designed to: appear to scale, be easy to build, be a model airplane, and be easy to transport.
Description: The Uranus was inspired by the Pronto (oz1740) model airplane, but designed to be slightly larger and accommodate larger engines. The goal was to create an easy-to-build model using thin wood and plywood materials.
The fuselage can be constructed from balsa and marine plywood, and following the patterns it won't be difficult to build.
Although graceful, the short fuselage requires care during takeoff due to the engine's torque potential. I believe this little model would look excellent with an electric motor and a depron version.
The wing is fixed with a bayonet mount and bolted on, and access to the components is through the underside of the fuselage. Be careful with the weight of nose!
On windy days, the model airplane takes off at around 15 feet.
Attached are PDF drawings and the instructions for 3D printing the window and pilot's guard.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
