This does not "look" like a plan drawn in 1989. It appears to be a CAD redraw, evidenced by the note in the lower RH corner. "DIA." would have been used as an abbreviation for "diameter" rather than the Greek symbol phi, among other visual clues.

I would guess the design is from 1989, and that this later CAD tracing of the plan was probably done by rchopper56 (Gene Rock) in 1997. But I am just guessing.

The original Nicki (not Nikki) was a kit marketed by J.E. Burkam, the father of engined helicopter.
Quite similar to his previous Penni Helicopter (oz8479) also on Oz.
Gene Rock was close friend of him and by him was inspired to develop the first succesfull rc model helicopter (plan on oz). This plan was redrawn by Gene Rock. Attached photo of the original kit.

Aha, got it. Have changed the title here to Nicki. The title spelling 'Nikki' on this plan is just a typo. Many thanks.

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
