Quote: "Hello. I wanted to share some plans I made back in 2004 for a small, twin speed 400 Me 410A1. Of course, if I were to make that plane again, it would be BL (it did use LiPo! I had just gotten my first pack at the time!), but I digress!
The plane was constructed out of plywood, and used foam for the nacelles. I fiberglassed the entire airplane with 2oz fiberglass cloth, but I am not sure that was necessary (but since I wanted to paint it, I did). I made custom vacuum formed spinners with a plywood backplate for it. The plane came out to 33 oz, and flew great.
For your ease, I tried putting all the details you require below. Hope this helps!
Fast and heavily armed, the Me 410 proved to be a perfect replacement for the Me 110. Unlike the Me 210, which was a failure, the Me 410 was capable of flying intruder missions over England as late as 1944. It also proved to be deadly to bombers when all surviving examples were called to the defense of the Reich by mid-1944. And even if it was not as agile as most single engine fighters, allied escort pilots fount its defensive armament to be worthy of respect, as even aces were shot down by the MG131 barbettes controlled by the rear crew member via remote control (as was the case of American Ace Captain James Morris of the 20th Group).
This design is very simple, yet gives a sturdy, well flying and great scale results. Construction is mostly balsa, with some foam for the nacelles (easier to shape and less weight). Original design to be flown with twin Speed 480 motors and 8 cell NiMH 4/5A size 2100 mAh battery pack (although the prototype flew with LiPo to save weight). The prototype was fully glassed, and weighted in a 33oz, and it flew great with no bad tendencies, even on final (it would glide very nicely at slow speeds). This is a 1/16 scale sized model, and I tried to keep all outlines as accurate to scale as possible (even if airfoil is not scale).

ScaleType: This (oz16149) is a scale plan. Where possible we link scale plans to Wikipedia, using a text string called ScaleType.
If we got this right, you now have a couple of direct links (above) to 1. see the Wikipedia page, and 2. search Oz for more plans of this type. If we didn't, then see below.
Notes:
ScaleType is formed from the last part of the Wikipedia page address, which here is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messerschmitt_Me_410
Wikipedia page addresses may well change over time.
For more obscure types, there currently will be no Wiki page found. We tag these cases as ScaleType = NotFound. These will change over time.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
