Aero Ae-145 Super (oz16126)
About this Plan
Aero Ae-145 Super. Free flight scale model for rubber power. Wingspan 16 in.
Direct submission to Outerzone.
Quote: "AERO AE-145 SUPER 16” SPAN TWIN PSEUDO-DIMER DRAWN 11 JUN 2022.
WING CONSTRUCTION: This is patterned after the 30s and 40s 10 cent plans. So the wing is made using solid sheet ribs with single or double 1/16” sq spars over or over and under the ribs. This one being the latter.
EMPENNAGE CONSTRUCTION: THE HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL SURFACES ARE OF 1/16” SQ AND SHEET BUILT FLAT ON BUILDING BOARD.
Wanted to see if a twin could be built in this Dimer style construction.

ScaleType: This (oz16126) is a scale plan. Where possible we link scale plans to Wikipedia, using a text string called ScaleType.
If we got this right, you now have a couple of direct links (above) to 1. see the Wikipedia page, and 2. search Oz for more plans of this type. If we didn't, then see below.
Notes:
ScaleType is formed from the last part of the Wikipedia page address, which here is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aero_Ae-45
Wikipedia page addresses may well change over time.
For more obscure types, there currently will be no Wiki page found. We tag these cases as ScaleType = NotFound. These will change over time.

Tom, please forgive an old aviation QC inspector. First, I truly admire your incredible skill and productivity to crank out as many plans as you do.But, on this plan, the AERO Ae-145, you have got my head scratching.
You call out 1/16 square spars on the wing but you show a full depth spar in the inboard wing being reinforced with plywood.
There appears to be a splice in the spar at the CL of the wing at W1.
What is a RUER motor?

As to the RUER issue, seems to me it was meant to be RUbbER (motor), but for some reason, the two "b" are missing.

My apologies to you gentlemen and all who check out this plan.
Thomas- I had in my mind to reinforce this area because of the "Rubber" motor passing through this area. I see your confusion from my illustration of this reinforcing of this area. What I should have shown probably was a laminated circle at the upper and lower 1/16" spars. This would allow the "Rubber" motor to easily pass through the spar area.
RC-- was accurate, it's suppose to be "Rubber"!
Back when this plan was drawn, I was laid up with a bad case of Bronchitis and couldn't move from my recliner. (my excuse) Ha Ha
Probably just a senior moment.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
