Saturn (oz16112)
About this Plan
Saturn. Radio control sport aerobatic model. Wingspan 1600 mm, for .60 engine.
Quote (google-translated): "General Description: Three years passed from the construction of the prototype to the production model. Five models were built, flown, and modified until the final production model was named 'Saturn.'
The result is a thoroughbred, fully aerobatic RC-1 competition model whose sophisticated flight characteristics will soon delight you.
Thanks to the low flying weight and high performance of the Enya 60 III B RC G8, the model has enormous power reserves, so that with appropriate training, the entire RC-1 program can be completed without difficulty.
The construction is conventional, stable, and not too complicated, so that even those with less mechanical skills can fly this model without major difficulties. All necessary parts are prefabricated.
It is up to you whether you want to build the model with a fixed or retractable gear. The fixed landing gear is shown in the blueprint. The kit for the Saturn with retractable landing gear (Order No.3180) includes a detailed plan, a materials list, and detailed assembly instructions [see supplement files].
General instructions for the construction process:
Please read the entire assembly instructions carefully before beginning construction. Before you begin work, consult the parts and materials list for a detailed overview of the type and purpose of the various components and the sequence of events.
The blueprint included with the assembly kit is drawn to a scale of 1:1 and is used as a construction plan for the fuselage, wings, and tail assembly. The numbering of the plans corresponds to the assembly sequence.
The blueprints for the fuselage, vertical and horizontal tail assembly, as well as the wings, with side and front views and cross-sections, should be used for assembly. To protect the plans from damage by glue, a thin, transparent polyethylene film overlay must be used. If this is not available as a larger section, cut-up polyethylene packaging bags will suffice. The materials list is presented as a table. It indicates which parts list number the boards included in the kit are for. Strips, pre-cut pieces, etc can be used.."

Quote: "Hello Mary, hello Steve, luckily back now, we're able to fill a gap at the Robbe lineup within outerzone: attached is the plan of the 'Saturn', a RC-model for sport and pattern flying. This typical model of its era has been designed for 10ccm engines.
Here I will thank Markus for his work to make this scan possible, and also many thanks to Dominik, who made the scans of building instructions and retract landing gear.
kind regards,
Harald

No problem opening the plan using Foxit PDF Reader on a PC running W11.

Opening the plan file does create no issues, wether on actual Linux systems nor with oldest XP-Windows software. But beside this, I know that some Apple created pdf´s make problems - sometimes. greets,

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
