Quote: "Hi folks, Please find attached plans for the Cosmo Hurricane 40S. This was a very popular Trainer/Sports model back in the day, at least here in Australia. It was stable, but still very aerobatic. There was a third sheet detailing the fin and rudder, but I have misplaced that over the years. However, I have extrapolated the relevant items on the plan [tail drawing, sheet3]. Hope you all enjoy! Ralph"
Update 9/6/2025: Replaced this plan with a complete version (now includes all tail parts, incorporated on extended sheet #1) thanks to Ralph.

I am curious about the missing sheet #3 that shows the outline of the vertical tail parts. I think the rudder styling was actually raked back, to give a more 'racy' look. Here is a photo [pic 004] that I think shows this, found online at https://blog.naver.com/hotrodder/30184565493 if anyone can submit a scan of the missing original sheet #3, that would be great.SteveWMD - 06/06/2025
Aha. Sorted now. See update, thanks to Ralph.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
