About this Plan

Izci. Free flight rubber cabin model. Wingspan 81 cm.

Building Handbook. When assembling model, follow sequence of numbered parts in bill of materials. Study number, size and funct of each part from bill of materials and plan. Do not attempt building model prior to carefully reading building in ructions and studying explanatory sketches. Before starting to build model, with a razor blade cut all printed parts carefully, shaping with abrasive paper. Pe to assembling parts on board, cover plan with a thin sheet of polyethylene.

FUSELAGE Pin longerons No.1,2,3 and 4, shown in solid black lines plan. Cement spacers No.5, rear peg fill in No.6, an cabin outline No.7 in place. When throughly dry, remove pins and free fuselage side from plan. Build second fuselage side in the same manner.

Prepare two of each fuselage spacers No.8, as shown with solid lines on upper view of fuselage. Align two fuselage sides one atop the other. Cement rearmost spacers to each other and hold with clothespin until dry. Cement foremost upper and lower spacers. Leave structure dry throughly. When dry, add other upper and lower spacers between longerons of the two fuselage sides.

Cement front former No.9, and upper lower fuselage formers into place. Cement upper front stringers No.21, and rear upper stringers No.22 in place. The three lower stringers No.23 should be cemented into notches on formers No.17, 18, 19 and 20 and thereafter over lower spacers, running along length of fuselage.

Cut dashboard from plan and cement on former No.12 Cement fuselage wing roots No.32 on fuselage and add root spacers No.33 and 34. Cement cabin front stringers in place. Cement nose bulkhead No.36 in place..."

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
