About this Plan

Red Racer. Semi-scale free flight model of a racing plane called "Red Racer Demon of Speed".

Note this plan will not print full size and is low resolution.

Quote: "Hello Steve, Attached is another plan from your website that needed some work. It is the 'Red Racer, Demon of Speed' from Comet. Your plan was low res, unrestored, and not full size. All of these problem have been taken care of. I am a Comet fan as I attempted to build Comet kits when I was a ten year old (1950) beginning modeller. Comet kits here in the USA were cheap, well designed, and lightly built to be good fliers. They were also difficult to build at my young age. The lower prices kits had balsa printwood but pine 1/16in sq. stringers that were like cutting piano wire with a razor blade. Most of mine were poor fliers if they flew at all due to my lacking but improving building skills. I finally got the Sparky kit to fly beautifully when I was fifteen and became hooked on stick models and rubber power. I still am today."

Update 15/11/2014: Replaced this plan with a much clearer copy thanks to Planeman.

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
