Stampe SV4B (oz15463)
About this Plan
Stampe SV4B. Scale model biplane.
Note we have tagged this plan as rubber and free flight, because we have to tag it as something. It seems (it turns out) to be a static display model, but the construction style uses formers and stringers - rather than a carved solid log - so it could actually be (perhaps?) built and flown as a rubber model. ScaleType: This (oz15463) is a scale plan. Where possible we link scale plans to Wikipedia, using a text string called ScaleType.
If we got this right, you now have a couple of direct links (above) to 1. see the Wikipedia page, and 2. search Oz for more plans of this type. If we didn't, then see below.
Notes:
ScaleType is formed from the last part of the Wikipedia page address, which here is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stampe-Vertongen_SV.4
Wikipedia page addresses may well change over time.
For more obscure types, there currently will be no Wiki page found. We tag these cases as ScaleType = NotFound. These will change over time.
Corrections? Use the correction form to tell us the new/better ScaleType link we should be using. Thanks.

Doh, my mistake. Thanks to JMP who pointed out this is not a rubber model, but actually for static display (note solid bulkheads and the stab angle). My bad. I'm inclined to leave this one up here though and see if anyone manages to build a flying model from it :)SteveWMD - 09/08/2024
Hello, 69 years ago in 1955, I was 12 and built this static scale model. It was my first completed model plane. The next one, a Zinzin glider, was my first _flying_ model.
Herewith a couple of photos I took at the time [pics 003-005] with my brand new Kodak Brownie Flash camera. One is of the plane on the ground in the courtyard, the second is an 'in flight' picture of the model hanging from the clothes line with an added clear plastic disk in guise of a rotating prop... Note the correct registration number from the plan. Man, does that take me back!
Thank you again for the effort you put in keeping this priceless resource available to us all. Jean-Marie Piednoir

It's a Chalange et Bonnet plan !
two versions, one with a static plane and one another with rubber ;-)

Hello, I made this model when I was 17 years old, and this plan comes from the kit "Chalange et Bonnet (CB). Brand well known by the old French modelers! Good construction to all!

Aha, got it. Have tagged this plan now as from CB. Many thanks :)

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
