Quote (google-translated): "The ASSAULT C.207 on the other hand is a true aerobatic, small in size but very classy. In fact, observing the design, you can see how the designer managed to combine the proportions of a classic acrobatic with a truly modern and elegant line.
In fact the wing has an opening of 119 cm., with a surface area of 27 dm2. (at 5.2 aspect ratio) Symmetrical profile at 15W and 4 dm2 flaps. (15 ;4 of the wing surface). The tailplane has an opening of 45 cm and a surface area of 4.2 dm2 of which the mobile part is 2 dm2. The fuselage has a length of cm 82, and is well sized for an acrobatic, both in the length of the muzzle and in the lever arm, as well as in the side view.
The indicated weight of 750 grams gives a wing loading of 27 grams per dm2, and corresponds to an excellent power/weight ratio with a 3.5 cc engine, while it allows you to fly very well in training with 2.5 engines cc. The asymmetry of 5 cm. of the wing and the offset position of the cables and the rudder guarantee tension during manoeuvres, making the lateral fitting of the engine unnecessary.
To these full-blooded acrobatic qualities, the Assault combines exceptional ease of assembly, thanks to the high degree of prefabrication of the box. In fact, the fuselage is made with two pre-worked balsa blocks. The tricycle trolley is ready, with a sprung front leg and rear legs equipped with optional fairings. The related attacks are also carefully studied. The wheels are made of rubber. The nose cone, the canopy and the tank, which contains 60 cm3 of mixture, they are ready.
The wing is built with pre-machined leading and trailing edges with a strong section, and ribs equipped with soles; paper or silk cover. The flaps are made of 5 mm balsa, as are the tail plane and the fin, which connects elegantly with the dorsal fin of the fuselage, constituted by the extension of the cabin.
The drawing indicates a rather advanced position of the center of gravity, which, if useful if the model is built by beginners, will probably have to be set back by 2-3 centimetres, to allow good sensitivity to the commands, essential to carry out the complete aerobatics program.
The price of the assembly box is L 6,500 and it seems more than adequate to its quality."

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
