Blue Pants (oz14913)
About this Plan
Blue Pants. Control line stunt model. Wingspan 37 in, for .15 to .19 engines.
See also the Aeromodeller plan Blue Pants (oz3491) from 1955. This here is the Blue Pants as kitted by Svensons. Includes full build instructions in both Dutch and French.
Quote (from catalogue page): "Designed and developed by Henry STOUFFS, 1954 World Champion and 1957 European Champion in control-line aerobatics, the 'BLUE PANTS' is not only a very good stunter for the confirmed pilot, but it is also an excellent model to start out with in control-line flying. Because of its thick airfoil, short moment-arm and large areas, it is quite stable and at the same time very maneuverable, and will fly the entire pattern with ease. A .15 engine should do for the beginner whereas the 'pro' will use a good .19. Span 36" and length 20" - Kit contains all die-cut balsa and plywood, and all necessary hardware (including wheels!). "

Quote: "Dear Mary & Steve, directly from my garage, where I accurately preserved it, here is Svenson's Blue Pants kit plan, with catalogue pages and some images. It was a famous stunter in the fifties (see oz3491) and now I can't wait no more to build and fly it.... Really I will never stop thanking you for your invaluable work. Armando Argano"

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
