Quote: "Hello Mary, These are the plans for the o2-36 from Kalteisen Aircraft from about July 2006. Found here: https://www.theprofilebrotherhood.com/threads/o2-electric-build-and-plans.10696/#post-181736
And the free plans link was at the time [now defunct]

I have attached those files for you. There are CAD files and a PDF manual. All from the original creator of the plane. Quite dated compared to some of todays carbon fibre, exotic brushless motors and high power lithium batteries. But this is one of the early pioneers. Best regards, Jim Haliburton"

Quote (from original 2006 forum posting): "After the success of the Skeeter I decided to open source another plane. Here she is....The O2.

Length: 36.5
Span: 36
Wing Area: 454 sq in
RTF Weight: 20-24oz
Motor: Park 400
Gearbox: Cobri 20, 6:1
Battery: TP 1320 Prolite
Servos: 2 GWS 9 gram on the ailerons and 2 HS-81's in the tail.
RX: GWS 4 channel

Mine was 20oz as listed above.

The O2 is a hybrid pattern/3D plane. The thin airfoil lets it get up and MOVE, yet it's able to kick into high alpha 3D with no problems.

I drew 2 sets of plans again. 1 set is totally stick built for the scratch builders, and the other is totally laser cut for the kits. The kits are 99% laser cut. The only sticks are in the trailing edge for the wing, tristock for the hinge ares and the sticks in the ailerons. I built the prototype kit in 1 hour, and that included taking picture. In 1 hour it was ready to cover!

Download the plans. Build, fly and have fun. As always, build as many as you want, just no selling them! If you don't want to scratch one out and want a kit, just vist kalteisen. Have fun!"

Note the 'original' plan here is the tiled PDF supplement. Also the dxf CAD version is original. The main planfile here is not original, it is just an extract from the dxf CAD file to allow a quick overview, to show everything on one PDF page. So see supplement files for exact details.

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
