I had lost my foam Pitts and now I want to build a new bipe. But I don't want to stay several month in my workroom, so it has to build very simple. And also I want to use the engine and servo.

I designed a multiple choice plane, there are some alternativ wingtips and tail plane drawn, so the plane may look a bit different, like a Fokker ore Stearman or Pitts or as you like.

The fuselage is build simple on one side. First you have to prepare the side panels, balsa with ply reinforcend and some strings and the pylon for the upper wing. To get symetrical build the second side panel on the first. The bulkheads are all the same width made from plywood and easy to build up. Close with the second side.

Rudder and elevator are made from 5mm balsasheets.

The upper wing is build with no dihedral. First put the lower sheeting on your workbench then glue the lower spar on and then the ribs. Close it with the upper spar and sheeting. The struts are made like the pylon from pine strings and plywood. The dummy engine on my plane is made from rigid foam.

Flying with this bipe is very easy. Starting from gras is possible. In the air it makes no troubles but is very manoverable, loopings, rolls, invertet fly and also turns the whole airobatic program. Only stall is not possible, it seams the oratex covering makes it unfortunally. But that is no mistake, so landing is no trouble.

It is a good plane for every day and evening.
