Quote: "Hi, Steve and Mary. Good morning. As I said some days ago, the Helmut Ziegler's HLG (oz14726) was the first model I build in my childhood (when I was 8 or 9 years old) and, when I saw that plan in Outerzone's web page, in honour of memories, I made the CAD redraw of it. Also, since I keep one copy of the original plan and book, I've included in the redraw some details omitted in your copy.
As usual, I include the plan in vectorial PDF as in both CAD vectorial formats: DWG and DXF. I hope it will be useful for all the Outerzone's community. Greetings, from your friend.
Valeria367."

This plan is contained in Wollman's book "werkbuch für jungen-1953" that treats several kind of constructions for boys. But the model aircraft section and relative plans were written by Helmut Ziegler. mailed photo.Pit - 06/08/2023
Ah, got it. Ok, am changing the designer credit now to Helmut Ziegler. Many thanks.

Nice to see this plan here. I got and this plan fifty years ago and still have it. Since I entered a club I use this plan often to teach children aged 7 to 14 years working with balsa. Last use yesterday August 6th building 24 gliders during a vacation pleasure. We don't profile the wing but the plane flys quite well.
Material in use: Fuselage - balsa 5 mm, Wing - balsa 4 mm, elevator and rudder 1.5 mm. I use plastiline for balast.

This was the first model I built. When I was 8 or 9 years old, my parents gave me that book (in Spain called "Trabajos manuales para jóvenes") as birthday present, and I built some of the models. Thanks for share this plan here, and bring those memories to me.

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
