Loutrel Sportster (oz14470)
About this Plan
GHQ Loutrel Sportster. Free flight power model.
The Sportster (oz412) was first published in MAN, July 1936. This here is a later redrawn plan showing the design as kitted by GHQ as the Loutrel Sportster.
Quote: "The GHQ 'Loutrel' Sportster kit especially designed for Loutrel Gasoline motor but may be used for any other motor of like weight and power. Built according to scientific aerodynamic principles - has made hundreds of successful flights without crackup - marvelous glider - and what a climber! A complet kit of all parts including plan, all wood, wire wheels, metal and all other parts. Postpaid for only $5.00"

It looks like an Ag-catDan - 31/03/2023
The aerofoil on this one appears to be a Clark Y whereas others have the entry point much lower. With those, the diagonals in the wing appear to pass through the holes in the ribs. Not sure how it’s accomplished with this plan? See: https://aeromodelismovolarlibremente.blogspot.com/201...

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
