Bukanyr M-1 (oz14434)
About this Plan
Bukanyr M-1. Free flight power model. Wingspan 1344 mm.
Quote (google-translated from the Czech): "Building the Model: From the plan, we redraw the sides of the hull No. 1, bulkheads No. 2, 3, 4 and 10 and arches No. 9 (2 pieces) on 4 mm plywood, we also cut the engine bed No. 2 m from 4 mm plywood, if we have however, the thicker 6-8mm available, the better. We will also cut out all the ribs of the wings and rudders from 0.8-1 mm plywood, the arches of the wings and rudders, as well as bulkhead No. 11. We will also bend all the fuselage longitudinals above the flame according to the main plan. We also bend all parts, such as holding hooks and steel wire chassis.
This concludes the preparatory work and we will proceed to the actual construction of the model.
We stretch the transparent paper over the plan and cut one side of the hull. We insert stringers between the pins and cut cross-pieces from the 4x4 beam - the place for partition no. 1, 3, 4 will remain empty, as well as for partition no. 10 and 11. We cut the cross-pieces in two pieces each time. As soon as the page has dried a little, we put pieces of paper, preferably newsprint, in the places of the glued joints and cut the second page, so that they are exactly the same. Let it dry. In the meantime, we tie the chassis equipped with wheels to bulkhead No. 3 and clean it up.
After the side panels have completely dried, we separate them from each other with a razor blade, remove the pieces of paper and glue the partitions No. 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, thereby obtaining a solid structure, into which we only additionally glue partitions 4 x 4 x 42 mm long, 12 pcs. Cover the front of the fuselage up to bulkhead No. 4 with 0.8-1 mm plywood.
On the lower side, cut out so that the legs of the chassis fit snugly. On the upper side of the bow, we glue the arch No. 9, and the other to the upper beams of the hull according to the plan - we also connect them with beams 4x4 mm. Through the drilled holes in the nose, we pass bamboo pegs with a diameter of 3-4 mm, which are used for later attachment of the engine bed, whose notches (see no. 2 m) correspond to the notches of the side panels No. 1. We also glue the wing bed extensions no. 17 and connect with a 3x5 beam, which we leave to overhang by about 1 cm. We tie a hook No. 13 to the front beam of the cabin and cover the cabin with weak celluloid.
At the stern of the hull, we attach lower arch No. 2 with notches (see detail on the main plan) and..."

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
