Quote: "Douglas DC-3. Drawn directly from N573R, a full size DC-3 at Fairfax airport, Kansas City, in Nov & Dec, 1966. The drawings are corrected to this craft's 1940 configuration. Scale 3/4 in = 1 ft. Drawn by Don Pratt 2/1/67. Recommended power: One .35 or Two .15's or .19's. The Aviation Archive, 1966. Mission, Kansas, USA."

Update 29/12/2022: Added correction sheet, thanks to George Gilbert. This shows two corrected formers: F-5, F-40.
Quote: "CORRECTION: To all holders of Douglas DC-3 plans produced by the Aviation Archive. Your plan set contains some inaccuracies that crept into the final drifting in spite of repeated check and re-check by a proof reader. They are: F-5 is shown the wrong size and shape. Below is the correct pattern. F-40 was mis-labeled F-41 so that there appeared on the plan two F-41' s. The correct F-40 is shown below .
There are two F-28's and two F-29's shown on the plans. This is not a mistake. They are alternates. It's all up to you. If you want the rear baggage compartment in then use the cut-out bulkheads. If you don't, then use the solid ones. Don Pratt."

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
