About this Plan

Number One. Radio control sport trainer model. Wingspan 1150 mm.

Quote: "Small trainer exceptionally manageable and docile, winner of several precision flight and touch and go competitions."

Direct submission to Outerzone.

Quote: "Hi Mary; The NUMBER ONE was the last model released by SVENSON. The factory Ingeneria Metaloplastica in Spain released the model in April 1998. A few years later the factory stopped with Svenson models and then it was completely finished with Svenson kits.
I will build the model this winter. I'm looking forward to it, a Svenson model that I never saw flying and never built. The plan comes from PHILIP AVONDS, thanks to him for lending it. Kind Regards;
Julien from AALTER Belgie."

Update 22/11/2022: Added kit instructions, in 4 languages, thanks to Julien.

Hi Mary: thank you very much for posting the Number One by Svenson. Hereby a photo [pic 004] - the original construction kit of Philip Avonds. I started building the Number One, very nice these small models. I'll send pictures of the Number One later. Kind regards.

Hi Mary, here's the Number One By Svenson, nice model to build [pics 005, 006]. Now have a nice day and wait and test. The weather here is very bad, fog every day. Will have to wait a while to test the new Svenson. I'm very glad I built it, and especially that it's on OUTERZONE. Kind Regards,

Hi Mary; Finally flew the Number One today for the first time [main pic, 007], it is a very good model, very stable, flies well with a lot of wind. The Graupner transmitter is also very good, my TITAN Graupner fuel is more than 20 years old and is as good as new, with one tap on the propeller, the 3.5 cc OS engine starts, which is also more than 30 years old, the material they made then was much better than now, everything comes from China now and is not so good. It is worth building this kite, if it is well built it will fly fine. Greetings from AALTER, Belgium,

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
