About this Plan

Micro. Radio control sport model. Wingspan 7.25 in, for Cox .010 engine.

Note this planfile is derived from the raw scan posted on the AF site by Boomerang15 (see datafile). This version here has been aligned, stitched and cleaned up, saved at 600 dpi.

Quote: "Micro. Designed by Bob Ryan. World's smallest? We don't know for certain that Bob Ryan's model is the smallest successful R/C powered (IC) model - perhaps you know different! The editor also produced a micro-delta, with a 0.13cc Giles Mills, but without the same degree of flight success. Now armed with a replacement engine (the previous one was only loaned) I shall soon be ready to take up the challenge again.

These are the full-size drawings of Bob's Micro - have you got one smaller? He uses a slightly larger wing for standard flying but it has flown with the 7-1/4 in span wing. Weight is around 3-1/2 oz. Model carrying case will hold three models, the neat electric starter for the Cox 010 is purpose built."

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
