M.33 was the MO.VO version of "Quasimodo" stunter, a 1950 design by Piero Gnesi.

Attached article from Jan 1950 Modellismo about Gnesi's Quasimodo plan. The article say for further plan information ask the Movo Company that sell the plan or kit. In the photo description it says that Piero Gnesi is depicted holding the Quasimodo, it's wrong, he holds the Orage, another of his plan published in the next (Feb 1950) magazine. In this case Arve Mozzarini was the inker of the plan.

Got it. Have changed the title to "M-33 Quasimodo", and set the deisgner as Piero Gnesi, now. Many thanks :)

The name must have inspired the model. And that inverted 13 doesn't help. I hope no one tried to fly this, she looks like she carries a curse, brrr!

Miguel, consider that Piero Gnesi (1920-1995) was an artist too, a painter with a style in the middle of naif-surrealist, he was famous for his personages or animals with a single eye. Searching for images on Google "piero gnesi modern art" you will find some of his single eye painting. Pit

Hi Pit, if you say so then I don't need to go check. But if you say that an artist liked to create and fly models then my appreciation for him can only increase!

If you look closely at the shape of the cabin and the pilot, it represents the unique eye symbol of the artist.

Well spotted Olivier, I wanted to see if someone would have identified the similarity.

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
