The colouring of the KK Sedan is all wrong. I sent a correstion in to the original contributor in about 2010 by scanning the an original box. Hi Steve, The Sedan box art colours are not bad for a later Amerang ? box but they do not match the colours of the printed wood. It would seem that the remains of my 50yr old version did not survive the house move but the scans at least show the correct colours. The majority of the wood is the cheapest that KK could get away with, i.e. natural ! ( In my case teak. The tailplane was 16g ! as measured on a school lab balance thanks to my kind chemistry teacher) The scans show the locations of the orange trim . This is the same orange as used on the Gemini rubber model. LE of wing , stripes on ailerons , same for the tailplane , stripes on elevators and rudder. The only other colour , at least on my version,was a very good match for Parker blue black fountain pen ink . I know because I coloured replacement parts for mine . I will keep looking for the original bits but I have a feeling that She Who Must Be Obeyed tidied them up.Brian - 15/08/2014
I bought the kit of this many years ago and I'm sorry to say that it was truly dreadful . Thick , heavy , rock hard wood made assembly near impossible and it flew like a brick . A low point in KK quality control . Built with very thin , light wood , I daresay it might fly but hardly worth the effort really .

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
