About this Plan

Echo. Radio control sport powered-glider model. Wingspan 1840 mm.

Quote: "Echo. RC motor glider, by Erich Jedelsky.

The motor glider 'Echo' was created for model pilots who want to fly an RC model purely for fun. In terms of construction, it is not an easy task, because the model should be able to be built and flown without much previous knowledge. 'Standard construction' is taken as a basis, whereby the most important model parts consist of profile-milled balsa. The ribs are manufactured with the greatest precision, the leading edge and trailing edge are also finish-milled. Using the excellent construction plan, assembling these prefabricated parts is really no problem.

Another advantage of the standard construction is its great strength. Even the weather can hardly harm the model, since it does not have a sensitive covering. The model can be flown with a thermal brake - so that it does not become independent. It is therefore ensured that you can enjoy the beautiful model for a long time with very little construction effort.

In terms of flying, Echo is a little treat! Easy to control and yet exceptional performance (also for this reason the thermal brake.)

The engine mount is removable. As a result, the model can also be used as a glider model on a slope, or with a high start.

Quick-build kit with a 1:1 plan, all the wood and metal parts required to build the model, with most of the parts included in the kit as finished parts. The parts for the motor mount are included in the kit.

The construction plan cannot be delivered separately, as the model consists mainly of finished parts that are difficult to produce by hand."

Remarkable, an early Erich Jedelsky design with a conventional double-surface wing.

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
