About this Plan
Inspectoer. Radio control FPV model, for electric power. Twin-boom pusher layout. Foam construction. Wingspan 43 in.

Quote: "Dear Steve like to complete the plan list with the design of the INSPECTÖR. Beginning of 2020, that was when the full story started…
We, the three Co-Designers Thorsten Kaffenberger, Dirk Bauer and Matthias Möller came together, to create a plane by wish list for FPV-Flying:
- It should perform very well
- Transportable size
- Pusher for free sight
… and we end up with the 'Inspectoer'.
The results were so good, that the decision was made to slightly enlarge later from 110cm to 130cm and ends up with the Ober Inspectör (oz13022) published earlier here on Outerzone.
The Main Construction was in CAD among Thorsten and me, Dirk was specialist for manufacturing the foam parts with hot wire and influenced the design in the best direction. He produced a small batch of planes you can see on the photos.
The very first Inspectör was built by Thorsten April 2020 and he did an amazing Maiden flight that satisfies our complete wish list:
See the yaw performance during the first start, damping is perfect, not like lots of these 'quick and dirty FPV-planes' that have yaw oscillations destroying their complete aerial footage.
The Inspectör is flown with a Sunnysky 2216-1250KV at 3s 2100 Lipo and goes nearly vertical. Look at 3:00 the elevator is max up and there’s no tendency to stall outer wing, that's what the swept forward design was chosen for! Still maneuverable with the ailerons at a slight nose down. We like to share the design with private replicators that they have as much fun as we have with the Inspectör-Family.
The use for business through 3rd parties needs consent of Designers. Private use only.
We hope this aircraft brings fun to all Enthusiasts FPVs as well as non FPVs, it's worth a brief look. Cheers, Matthias"

Did we get something wrong with these details about this plan (especially the datafile)?
That happens sometimes. You can help us fix it.

Thanks Thorsten, that's a remarkable video.

Wow! Remarkable indeed. I love it... already seen the video four times. Its incredible this footage was taken with a 43" span foam model. Thorsten... any idea about how high was that cloud layer? Also, maybe share what radio equipment you used? This one is a winner!
RC Yeager - 20/01/2022
This was flown with a 2,4Ghz Frsky and a XM+ receiver (the old version with ACCST protocol), nothing special or long range stuff. Cloud layer was not high, it was a pretty rainy morning, just 15min before, and we have been located on high ground.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
