About this Plan
Nomad. Simple glider model. Wingspan 20-1/2 in.
The Nomad kit was sold as a "20 inch prefabricated model with all fuselage parts, tailplane and fins pre-cut and coloured", although the wing was still built-up using traditional ribs and tissue.

Did we get something wrong with these details about this plan (especially the datafile)?
That happens sometimes. You can help us fix it.

I built several of these. They towed well and were great for small-field flying on a 50 ft. towline. Just don't do what a friend of mine did: he modified the nose of his Nomad to take a Cox Pee Wee, with no downthrust, and launched it with a full tank. It flew a beautiful series of consecutive loops, gaining height until we lost sight of it. We never saw it again.

Great clean-up work and restoration of the printed parts. The model was not expected to do much aerobatics, so the open ballast well is acceptable :-) Thank you!

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
