Cub (oz1349)
About this Plan
KK Cub. 20 inch span model, can be built either as towline glider or for Jetex 50 power.
Planfile includes full build instructions.
Quote: "The Cub is particularly suited for the beginner - construction being both simple and conventional. Before starting to build, read through these notes and study the plan carefully. Protect the plan with a sheet of greaseproof paper and make sure that the board on which you build is flat. Only cut out the parts as you need them.
The only difference between the Jetex and the glider versions is the fuselage - the wings, tailplane and fin being identical.
Fuselage: Pin the longerons to the basic fuselage plan of whichever version you are building. Cut the upright braces (two of each) and cement in place.
Build the second side frame directly on top of the first. Build formers 1 & 2 on the plan (check that you are building the correct formers..."

Hi Mary, Please find attached some photos of my newly completed KeilKraft Cub built from your plans [main pic, 006, 007]. It's slightly modified with an offset towhook and compensating rudder. Hopefully we will get some decent weather soon so she can be maidened. Regards,

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
