Since I'm now done with my 2m Horten XII build I decided it was time to start building my 4.1m Horten IIIe. I finished the CAD design and cut most of the parts out on the laser a few months back. The Center Section... since I designed the parts to interlock everything is going together pretty quickly. Please let me know if need anything else. If this works I have some other Horten plan that I may upload. Regards, Brian Halkett"

An interesting design that would impress fellow club members, but requires a substantial build commitment. I have a laser cutter but the thought of tracing all the parts in corel draw is arduous. Is it possible that a cad file could be released?

I just put in a couple of hours generating an assembly drawing in plan view with Autocad LT in metric. The given pdf is vectorized and if you know someone with Autocad they can generate a .dwg file for you - however the .dwg file requires the pdf file to be present when opened. The level of accuracy in the given pdf file is sufficient to build from but double check everything.

I have just realized that this a vector format pdf, (must have been asleep earlier. I can edit this in corel draw to suit my laser format. Many thanks for this plan Brian.

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
