About this Plan

Spitfire. Radio control profile scale model. Wingspan 760 mm, for .75 - 1 cc engines.

Direct submission to Outerzone.

Quote: "Hi Mary, This is my profile, sheet wing Spitfire. Powered by a Merlin (what else!). I built it back in 2014 and it has been a regular flyer ever since. It's my standard 'throw in the back just in case' windy weather flyer. It will fly when most other things won't. Very simple construction, but the radio box is rather small. I use a Lemon RX (highly recommended) and a 150mAh battery (good for at least 6 flights). The switch is a micro slide from an electronics supplier, just solder on your own leads. The fixed pick up tank feeds well through most aerobatics (even outside loops) but not for sustained inverted. Finish as on most of my models is coloured tissue, dope and clear. Regards, Warren"

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
