Quasi Turbo Raven (oz13100)
About this Plan
Quasi Turbo Raven. Radio control sport scale model. Wingspan 162 cm, for OS FS91 Surpass engine.
Note the 'original' drawing here is the CAD zip download (in dwg format). That's the file that Giuseppe sent us, and that is his design, his work. The PDF file you see here (many thanks to Miguel) is really just here as a taster, a PDF file in this slot, for Oz users who don't have a CAD viewer.
Note the wing is shown at reduced size, essentially as just root and tip ribs, for foam cutting.

Quote: "Hi Mary, One more model of mine. Quasi Turbo Raven means 'almost Turbo Raven' because I modified a lot the original planform. Model was published in Italian magazine Modellismo, which has been closed a few months ago. It was also published on a Chinese magazine and a Czech modeler produced a file for AeroFly Pro Deluxe simulator. The beautiful young lady holding the model is an aeronautical engineer living in Rome. Ciao, Beppe"
This plan is available for download in CAD format.
Did we get something wrong with these details about this plan (especially the datafile)?

ScaleType: This (oz13100) is a scale plan. Where possible we link scale plans to Wikipedia, using a text string called ScaleType.
If we got this right, you now have a couple of direct links (above) to 1. see the Wikipedia page, and 2. search Oz for more plans of this type. If we didn't, then see below.
ScaleType is formed from the last part of the Wikipedia page address, which here is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/undefined
Wikipedia page addresses may well change over time.
For more obscure types, there currently will be no Wiki page found. We tag these cases as ScaleType = NotFound. These will change over time.
Corrections? Use the correction form to tell us the new/better ScaleType link we should be using. Thanks.

User commentsNot to mention the aesthetical qualities of both models (curiously both two-legged), nor the technical abilities of designer and builder, I'll say the finish is stunning! That raven design (North American Northwest Indian inspiration, perhaps, and please notice the wheel spats!) looks splendid; and the entire cover job is something that I wouldn't be able to do in my dreams. To me, this is a masterpiece at all levels.

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
