About this Plan

Mega Watt. Radio control sport aerobatic model.

Note this plan was previously available as a free download, from the now-defunct Colin Usher website. We found this file in 2021 using the Wayback machine, see datafile link.

Quote: "Megawatt: Following a number of requests an enlarged version of the Killerwatt (oz13085) has been produced. This is simply the Killerwatt Drawings enlarged by 120% to give a 70 in (1773mm) model suitable for 0.90 - 1.20 motors. Wood sizes have been increased on the new plan but it is assumed that if you are building the larger version you should have the experience to beef up the structure as required. A number of these models have been built & I am assured it flies very well."

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
