Outlaw (oz1307)
About this Plan
Keil Kraft Outlaw. KK Outlaw. 45in span single channel sports model. OS .10 power is shown on the plan. No wing rib section is shown on this scan [fixed now, see below], although there are formers in the supplement CAD file.
Note Keil Kraft produced two different Outlaw kits. This here is the 1970s version. For the earlier 1950s version, see Outlaw (oz8824).
Update 13/01/2016: Rescaled this plan to full size at 45in wingspan, thanks to anon. Also includes hand traced copy of wing rib on the plan now, at bottom right. Note this remains a low res scan with some distortion - would be nice to get a better scan of this one, if anyone out there can help.
Supplementary file notes
Modern PDFvector plan by hogal. This drawing shows a Clark 'Y' wing rib section.
Previous scan version.

I think the Outlaw is 45" span, not 40".anon - 13/01/2016
Had a look, and I think you're right. Measuring from the dimensioned mainwheel at 2in diameter, this plan needs scaling up. Will fix it today.

Looked around the net for more details on KK Outlaw and found Pics of the two Sizes of Outlaw which I have attached [see more pics 003, 004]. Both Came from Keil Kraft Handbooks (planbooks). It would be nice if we could get some of these books copied and on the RC Library site along with the Model Aircraft Plan Books.

Agreed, it would be great to have the planbooks on RCL. Is anyone out there able to help?

Ok, have removed the pic from more_pics_004 which showed the other KK Outlaw (FF 50in, not RC 45in) - thanks to everyone who pointed out they are two different models.

Hi Steve. Having built the KK Pirate and recently the KK Bandit, I would have liked to complete the trio with the original KK Outlaw. The design I remember is not the same as the one on your site. The design I remember has a polyhedral wing configuration. Please don't view this email as being critical as your site is beyond wonderful. Best wishes to all your team,

There were two versions of the KK Outlaw. This here is the 1970s version. For the earlier 1950s version, see Outlaw (oz8824). Have now added a note to this effect in the About section. To avoid confusion, have moved pic 004 from here (showing later box art) across to the oz8824 page.

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
