Knave (oz12968)

Knave (oz12968) by Peter Sanders 2020 - plan thumbnail

About this Plan

Knave. Rubber duration model. A modern re-working of the Keil Kraft Playboy (oz2035) design, here enlarged to 30 in wingspan, keeping the original wood thickness, for a lightweight model.

Direct submission to Outerzone.

Quote: "Here is the plan and parts sheet for the 150% Playboy, re-named 'Knave'. It is a terrific performer, requiring a 9.5 inch propeller and 16 feet of 1/8 inch rubber into four loops, pretensioned. It is very easy to build, with a minimum of parts, making a perfect beginners outdoor flying model. Kind regards,"

A couple of photos of my 150% KK Playboy [aka Knave] with 30" wing span [main pic, 003-006]. Wonderful flyer, built Summer 2020.

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
