About this Plan

Humbrol Bronco. Free flight CO2 model.

Note this is not a plan, really. The Humbrol Bronco was a ready-made foamie ARF, so there never was a 'building' plan. The kit came with an assembly sheet, but no drawings that could be used to fabricate parts. See below.

Direct submission to Outerzone.

Quote: "Hello Mary and Steve. Not exactly a plan, I do not think that this necessarily belongs on Outerzone, but as I looked through Wanted plans the other day I noticed that MiroslavaCulf wanted a 3-view of the Humbrol Bronco. It may be a bit late, but as I had the remains of a Bronco I have drawn up some of the parts, enough to fill his/her needs I believe. Keep safe,"

Note this listing now forms a handy location for any further scans or docs re the Bronco that may come along. Steve.

Update 28/2/2024: Added decals, thanks to AdrianCulf.

Quote: "Dear Mary & Steve, Through the great work of Helen Rayner at the National Collection Centre of the Science Museum Group, I have been able to obtain images of the decal sheets from a Humbrol Bronco kit they have in the collection. These are attached. Many thanks, Adrian."

Update 31/3/2024: Added kit instructions, CO2 motor instructions, also landing gear details, thanks to Adrian Culf.

Quote: "Dear Mary & Steve, Over the next few e-mails, I'll send the last pieces of info that I can gather for the Humbrol Bronco (oz12855). I have the undercarriage with the dimensions attached with other items for the CO2 engine and model manual courtesy of Helen Rayner at the Science Museum. Adrian."

Many thanks to you and other Outerzone supporters for the Humbrol Bronco plan. I will build one in balsa using my original undercarriage and Humbrol CO2 motor. Cheers,

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
