Cabin Stick (oz12815)
About this Plan
Cabin Stick. Variant of the Lanzo 1937 RC Stick design.
Note this is not a complete plan for a full airframe. This is a plan showing construction of a trepezoidal structure that can be banded onto onto the Lanzo 1937 RC Stick (oz439) model, eliminating the wire parasol mount.

Quote: "This goes with your RC Stick (oz439) plan. I've included the plywood template Lanzo used to cut the ribs [see supplement file 'rib_scan']. An airfoil wasn't specified. The Klarich Kit used John Pond's plan which had a Grant8. This is extremely close to the Model Builder plan rib but it has two extra spars. The rear needs to be trimmed down a bit to meet the specified TE material."

Note see also the supplement file 'low res' which is a second full drawing. With lots of handrwitten notes on it, by Chet Lanzo.

Note that the widest part of the strap-on “cabin” is immediately below the trailing edge of the wing. Chester flew all of his RC ships first as free flights to prove their airworthiness and also competitively. With the exception of 1940, which gave us the Kerswap, the early free flight period rules mandated a minimum fuselage cross section of L ²/100TomRyan - 19/02/2021

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
