About this Plan

Migisi 662. Radio control slope soarer model.

Note the Migisi 662 plan was published in the same article as the Little Plank III (oz12697) - it just gets a brief mention at the end.

Quote: "The plan for another of my designs, the Migisi, is available at the B2Streamlines site as well. The Migisi design was heavily influenced by a Dave Jones Plank, the R2. I’ve long wanted to build a larger higher aspect ratio plank with elliptical wing tips. No prototype yet. Someday I hope to build the Migisi, but for now it’s second in my build queue."

Note main pic shows completed Migisi 662 model made by Kaptein, found on his excellent build thread on RCGroups, see https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2298545 for more details and more photos.

I've searched years for a Dave Jones R42M plank. See https://www.glide.net.au/flyingwing/wfreak.htm I like this plan just as much. I only wish I could've found it with the keyword "plank".

Hi Zack. You're right, a simple search for 'plank' won't work, unless you you search on CompleteText. But that would also return all plans with the string 'planking' or 'planked' in the complete text. Probably the best way would be in the advanced search, for plans tagged as both RC and glider that also include 'plank' in the descrip - like this: https://outerzone.co.uk/advanced/search/results.asp?T1=Glider&T2=RC&K1=plank&F1=Dscrp currently that narrows it down to a total 43 results :)

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
