About this Plan

Mosquito. Radio control sport model, for electric power with Speed 250 motor. Pusher layout. Wingspan 580 mm. This kit uses a solid balsa wing, also a ready-moulded plastic fuselage/canopy shell.

Discontinued kit from Graupner.

Note this plan does not include a drawing of the wing, as the kit included a ready-shaped solid balsa wing (see pic 004).

Note photos of kit box and parts are thanks to Greg Covey found online at https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/electric-indoor-micro-rc-flight-182/2897827-graupner-mosquito.html

Quote: "MOSQUITO 6287: RC electric-powered model aircraft. For 3-function radio control. Electric-powered model consisting of ready-made balsa components, for SPEED 250 motor and 2-3 Li-Po cells, approx 0.24 Ah capacity. Quick-build kit consisting of ready-made components and linkage hardware pack.

Product information: The GRAUPNER MOSQUITO electric-powered model is a miniature high-performance RC model aircraft. With a wingspan of 580 mm and an all-up weight of around 100 g this model makes a flying site of the smallest field. The quick-build kit of this model is assembled from a small number of balsa components. The solid balsa wing is machined to airfoil section, while the elegant fuselage is based on a vacuum-moulded top section with integral canopy. The low all-up weight is made possible by the power pack, which consists of two 240 mAh LiPo cells."

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
