About this Plan

Bokan 46. Radio control sport model for electric power.

Note the 'original' drawing here is the CAD zip download. That's the file that John sent us, and that is his design, his work. The PDF file you see here is just so that we have a viewable file in this slot, for Oz users who don't have CAD software or a CAD viewer.

Direct submission to Outerzone.

Quote: "Greetings, I would like to add my plans for the 'Bokan 46' to Outerzone. I am the original designer and publisher. The plane is a Sport electric RC plane with 64 in wingspan, and for 4 channels (A, E, R, T). Attached is a DXF export of the AutoCAD plans and the cut files for publication. I am giving this freely to the R/C community.

The Bokan 46 is a low wing sport plane for 6S 5000 lipo. Designed for the Leopard 4260-7T-420KV motor, 60 amp ESC, 15 x 6 to 15 x 8 prop. My first publishable design. In honor of Mike Bokan. He taught me to fly and gave me a lifelong interest in Radio Control.

I am in the middle of building the model right now, so my pictures are not great. I can send more once I am done building.
Thanks, John"

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
