About this Plan

Airfoiler. Free flight pylon model. Wingspan 44 in wing area 342 sq in. For Foster 29 or similar power.

Note this is a low resolution plan.

Quote: "PS Airfoiler looks to me to be a very close relative of Whizzawing (oz5164)"

Direct submission to Outerzone.

Update 28/06/2020: Added alternate plan and (later) article from MAN 2001 (titled RC-Assist Airfoiler Replica), thanks to Pit.

Note it seems there were a few different versions of the Airfoiler, with different wingspans. If/when we get some clearer scans, than it may make sense to split this Oz listing into 2 or more separate entries.

Supplementary file notes

Article (2001).

User comments

I like this plan it is just a shame the small print is unreadable, but it will still be possible to build. Hopefully as an R/C electric for warm summer evenings.

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
