The plan looks good and I can use it. BUT the notes on page 2 are unreadable. How can I get a good copy? Maybe just a copy of the notes themselves.

Hi Steve, I've been admiring the plans of the Percival Gull on your site for a couple of years now and finally got around to building one [main pic, 003-006]. Unfortunately (for me) the plans are for a 20 inch span rubber free flight and I wanted around a 60 inch span for electric RC. So off to Office Works where I got the plans scaled up to almost 300%. The actual wingspan came out at 55 inches but that's close enough. I did increase the span of the tail plane by one extra bay on each side (approx. 30%) for better stability. Anyway, here are some photos of the finished plane which I haven't flown yet. Hence, it still looks pretty good. It's set up with a 650 KV motor from an FMS Zero, swinging a 12 x 8 prop, powered by a 4 cell Lipo. The battery hatch is designed for a 2650 - 2700 pack. The CG seems perfect with no added ballast required but the maiden will tell the truth. It's a total balsa and ply build with even the wheel pants being built up from balsa. All up weight, less battery, is 1.292 kg or 2 lb 13.5 oz which seems pretty good. Cheers

Hi Steve and Mary. Here's a follow up to my previous posting for the Percival Gull VI... Second test flight successful after mishaps with maiden. So, first off the CG is at the main spar which coincides with the thickest airfoil section, although you can go backwards or forwards about 10mm and still be safe. With the set up described in the commentary above the aircraft will show a good turn of speed but can still be slowed down and flown on about 1/3 - 1/2 throttle. Stalls are predictable and large graceful loops are easy from level flight. The roll rate is decent but the plane seems to want to 'hang up' when inverted and requires some rudder to help complete the roll if you're in a hurry. It will spin but gets into it quicker if you initiate a snap roll and keep holding up elevator and full rudder. Recovery is excellent. Landings are a bit deceptive as it keeps wanting to float when a foot or so above the ground and it seems a bit pitch sensitive at landing speed. However, I'm still coming to terms with it, having only flown it a few times so far. It does seem to go where you point it instead of self recovering so I'm wondering if I built in a bit too much wash out at the wing tips to avoid tip stall. All in all though it looks really impressive in the air and not something you see every day.
