Neat design. The horiz. stab span/shape could be estimated from the images and partial view on the plan, but it would be nice if someone could "scan" the actual stab and elevator parts...Dave D - 17/03/2020
Doh! Answered my own request. Another version of the plan is right here on Outerzone, with the full stab/elevator shown! See OZ 1429

Dave D, see the OZ plan (oz1429). The rudder and fin should be enlarged 10-15%, the white and red plane show this and my aged wood version now has these done. The stab and elevator are OK as is. Won't hurt anything to add a bay to each wing panel.

Hi, Here is a photo of my new Roaring 20. I built a Roaring 20 from the TopFlite kit in the 1960s, complete with Cox 010 and home-made single channel pulse proportional control. Flew really well - which was so unusual then. Thanks for your super plans resource. I have downloaded all my old models; I hope to build some.
I built a new version in lockdown [pic 004]. What a joy. Covered and trimmed in LiteSpan, with geodetic ribs to add a little more stiffness, one extra bay on each wing half. Rudder and Elevator control. Fin and rudder area increased by 15%. The CofG was a little aft so fitted a larger battery. Total weight, ready to fly 149g (5.25 oz)
Not flown yet, as I have to find a new flying site, but I won't need a big one, for this plane. If it flies ok, I'm thinking of making a box for transport, like Ken Willard's. Thanks again,

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
