ScaleType: This (oz12006) is a scale plan. Where possible we link scale plans to Wikipedia, using a text string called ScaleType.
If we got this right, you now have a couple of direct links (above) to 1. see the Wikipedia page, and 2. search Oz for more plans of this type. If we didn't, then see below.
Notes:
ScaleType is formed from the last part of the Wikipedia page address, which here is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_L-1049_Super_Constellation
Wikipedia page addresses may well change over time.
For more obscure types, there currently will be no Wiki page found. We tag these cases as ScaleType = NotFound. These will change over time.
Corrections? Use the correction form to tell us the new/better ScaleType link we should be using. Thanks.

Hi there, I would love to build this bird but looking at the plans I miss the profiles for most of the wing ribs. Can anyone explain how to fabricate those wing ribs in a sensible way or where the clue is hidden in the plan how it should be done? I would be very thankful for any ideas and hints. My italian is quite bad unfortunately.Best regards
Nick

The article say:
Ribs from 1 to 16 are obtained from a bloc of balsa sheets packed and sanded with ribs templates.
Ribs from 16 to 20 are obtained from a bloc of balsa sheets packed and sanded with ribs templates.
For the tailplane the same with 1 to 10 ribs templates
I'm Italian, my english is quite bad unfortunately

Nick, You can take the PDF files and convert them to an image file (i.e. jpg, etc) with GIMP. Once converted to an image file you can drop the file into Google Translator which can translate the Italian to another language (English?) and the save the translated file back to your PC to give you a translated copy of the drawing. The saved translated file will be a low resolution, but it will give you a copy in the language you can read.

Nick; contact me at kanataaircraftmodels@gmail.com. I might be able to cut a set of ribs for you. I’m in Ottawa, Canada.

Thank you guys so much for the fast, helpful and conclusive feedback. I'm glad your english is much better than my italian :D With templates! I can imagine that works. Never did that. Great. I will try that. If it fails I might come back to the cutting offer....thanks :) And I will try and translate too. Great tip too. Thanks again.
Best regards
Nick

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
