About this Plan

Scamp. Radio control sport trainer model, for 1/2A engines.

Quote: "Scamp. A kit plan from Galaxy Models. 38 inch 1/2A trainer, very familiar to British magazine readers from the 80's and 90's (any Galaxy models ad from a magazine of the era should have a picture of the model). This model is long discontinued (about 20 years I should say, though there was a speed 400 version for a while)... I don't seem to have the instructions but I think they were typical British kit instructions - a few type written pages that probably only served to confuse the average beginner. Fortunately there are some rather good 3D sketches on the plan! The plan itself credits the model to 'Quest Models' (an earlier incarnation of Galaxy?) though no designer is named."

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
