Che (oz11940)
About this Plan
Che. Hand lauch glider model.
Quote: "Hello Mary, Another flat Champion from Santiago Rodriguez. This is the 'CHE' with which Santiago won the National Hand Launcher Championship in 1989. Used wick to open an aerodynamic brake as a de-thermalizer.
Easy and very resistant construction. You can spend many pleasant moments flying it. In the photo Santiago is on the right with the 'CHE' [model photo]. Regards, Antonio"

Hi Mary, I just saw the photos Antonio sent you of his brother's flight box, and I was very surprised to see the Aero Club Rio de la Plata decal. That is My club in Ezpeleta, Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina. I would very much like to know if Santiago was in Buenos Aires or how he got the sticker. I send a big greeting from Argentina (now in quarantine) and I hope you are well too. A big hug and the best hope.

Hello Hugo! My brother Santiago was a crew member of Iberia and he used to fly to Buenos Aires for several decades and on different planes, DC10, Jumbo and Airbus. I don't know if he got the sticker there or if he was also a member of the free flight team at the World Championship in the Embalse de rio third, he was also a Delegate at CIAM (FAI) and had a lot of friendship with the Argentine delegation on those three roads. have your club sticker

Antonio. Now I know where your brother is seems so well known to me.
At the World Free Flight Championship on Embalse, in 2005, I was a timekeeper and part of the organization. And in 2011, also at Embalse, I was the official announcer and spokesperson for the organization on the flight field. I am now sure that I have conversed with your brother.
What a great pleasure it gives me to remember those moments and how much fun we had. At these opportunities, we made many good friends.
How wonderful is the model airplane !!!
I have you, Antonio and Santiago among my friends.
I send you a big hug. Take care
Now, in Spanish:
Antonio.
Cuidense mucho

Hello, I really missed too much Santiago Rodriguez, he taught me a lot about model engines and free fligth hand launch gliders. I just built this amazing Che [more pics 008-015].

Added some super photos of the Che, thanks to Jose Maria G.-Calatayud, who was one of Santiago Rodriguez's pupils [more pics 008-015].

Notes
* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
