Miss America. Free flight 'Scale Old Timer' model. Wingspan 36 in, wing area 170 sq in.

The original 84 inch Miss America (oz5645) was first kitted circa 1936. This here is a later version at reduced size for Cox .020 power.

Quote: "Dear Steve and Mary, I was looking around for another model when I happened across the Micro Models 3/7 scale, 36 inch span Miss America kit. This was a reduced copy of the original Antique design. Kit box cover says the original was released in 1935, but I've seen some who say 1936. Couldn't say, I wasn't around at the time. Might have to confirm this with RFJ.

Anyway, I looked it up on the OZ site, and could not find this version, so here you go. Scanned at 300 dpi. Initially intended for .020 FF Replica SAM flying, this one may end up with one of Phil and Shaun's single-channel rudder-only setups, as I'm 69 and a little slower about chasing free-flights all over the countryside. Haven't built the airplane yet, so have included a piccie of the kitbox cover. Thanks again for the Outerzone!! Marc"
