Note that the top and bottom rib templates are not the same. You will need to cut ribs from both templates. Also note the wing center section on the plan just above the bottom wing detail. Cut your spars long enough to build the whole wing starting with the center section and set your dihedral as you go. Building the wings as one piece will make mounting them to the fuse much easier.

Hello again! Attached are photos of my completed Wren model [003-007]. The build was easy and fun for a biplane. I made a Hangar Rat figure from card stock for a pilot and added small cockpit instrument details. During the build I failed to notice the wing center section on the plan and that required extra work to attach the wings to the model since I built the wings separate. I recommend building the upper and lower wings as one piece to the center sections and set your dihedral as you build them. Also I would like to note that the top and bottom rib templates are not the same. The bottom wing has a wider chord than the top.Thanks for such a great modeling site!

Notes

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

Scaling

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
