About this Plan

Sabre Sonic X-4. Control line profile sport trainer, for .15 to .25 engines.

Quote: "Your 'Sabre Sonic' was designed specifically for the AYSC Multi event. For those of you who are not familiar with this event, it is judged on the following criteria: Beauty, Speed, Endurance and Stunt. Because the Sabre-Sonic has a wide range of uses, you can fly this plane as a combat trainer, full house stunt, or even as a beginner's model.

Read the plans through carefully, before you begin work. Cover the plans viith a sheet of waxed paper to prevent cement from sticking to them.

FUSELAGE ASSEMBLY: After removing the fuselage from die-cut sheet, sand to get rid of all rough spots. Now pre-glue hardwood inserts, plywood doublers, and the areas they will contact on the fuselage. When these parts are dry, cement one doubler and both inserts to fuselage. Then cement the remaining doubler and weigh or clamp until dry. (Overnight, if possible.) We have found that the new epoxy resins are much stronger for this area than regular model cement..."

Quote: "Steve / Mary, I cleaned and deskewed a copy of the Sabre Sonic X-4 by Jetco I obtained from RCGROUPS... The models wing span is 34 in for .15 to .25 sized engines. I included decals for it as well. Thanks, George"

* Credit field

The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.

This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
