Snoopey II (oz11453)
About this Plan
Snoopey II. Radio control sport model. Wingspan 2600mm, for 10cc motors.
Quote: "Snoopey II. RC Powered Sports Model.
For many reasons, the recent significantly increasing trend to larger, uncomplicated multi-purpose model aircraft, resulted in the development of Snoopey II.
Primarily such large capacity models were built for their interior to test possibilities and gain experience. Quickly the advantages became evident and the enthusiastic interest on all sides led to the creation of a kit available to all for our largest powered model aircraft. The unsurpassed Hegi Snoopey, loved for its construction, simple and stable flight characteristics served as the godfather.
As a result the Snoopey II features a wooden construction for the compact, robust fuselage which is suitable for anyone and offers much interior space. For reasons of weight and stability, the wing is in one piece and can optionally be built either with or without ailerons, as these are not mandatory for good control over the model. The fin and tailplane are a single unit which can be removed to simplify transport of the fuselage by undoing two nylon screws. The design has been thought through so that building errors are avoided for most practical purposes.
The extreme wing area of almost 1.2 square metres gives a very low wing loading. This results in excellent take off qualities helped by the tricycle undercarriage with large wheels, so that longer grass doesn’t hinder a safe take off. Additionally this brings an excellent climb performance as well as the possibility of heavy payloads, good visibility of the model at a distance with a good speed range including extremely slow flying.
All in all a simple to fly and non-critical ’work horse’ - that’s Snoopey II. A model with gentle reactions even by hard control surface movements. Many additional features are possible - banner and aircraft model towing, dropping parachutists, leaflets or candy for the children at shows, installation of a camera. Last but not least Snoopey II has large fuselage and wing surfaces for decorative and effective advertising.
Whoever chooses this model, even with high expectations from the kit, will be delighted by the performance of the finished model.
The fast build kit contains all necessary wood parts, die cut or partially finished, finished undercarriage parts (excluding wheels), wing and tailplane attachment bolts, hinges, rudder horns, bellcranks, small parts, decals, tissue paper, glue, a detailed plan with exploded views and instructions with descriptions about special functions."
Planfile includes 3 large sheets, also exploded assembly view.

If anyone could submit an English translation of the text from the catalog page(s), describing the Snoopey II in more detail, that would be really useful [edit: done now, many thanks].SteveWMD - 19/08/2019

* Credit field
The Credit field in the Outerzone database is designed to recognise and credit the hard work done in scanning and digitally cleaning these vintage and old timer model aircraft plans to get them into a usable format. Currently, it is also used to credit people simply for uploading the plan to a forum on the internet. Which is not quite the same thing. This will change soon. Probably.
Scaling
This model plan (like all plans on Outerzone) is supposedly scaled correctly and supposedly will print out nicely at the right size. But that doesn't always happen. If you are about to start building a model plane using this free plan, you are strongly advised to check the scaling very, very carefully before cutting any balsa wood.
